I was craving mole since it was Cinco de Mayo. I did a quick search on Yelp and La Corneta came up in San Carlos. I used to dine at the Glen Park location all the time when I lived in San Francisco, but never visited the San Carlos location even though I live close by. Honestly, I didn't even know it was there! I ordered Combo #6, which includes a quesadilla suiza with meat of your choice, prawns and grilled mushrooms. I opted for no beans so it came with extra rice and salad as well as tortillas. The chicken mole was rich and flavorful and definitely hit the spot! The kids ordered 2 quesabirria tacos each. Each one was stuffed with meat! We also received complimentary chips, pico de gallo and salsa. The food was delish and everyone was happy with their meal! The portions are large and prices are very reasonable. I only ate half my quesadilla so I got two meals for the price of one!

The place gets super busy when they open and through out the day. Great and awesome customer services, all crews are well trained like an assembly, clean place and restroom, water is self serve, and most importantly are all the dishes are fabulously yummy. So come and try it for yourself.

La Corneta Taqueria is located right off San Carlos Avenue and El Camino. There is parking on the street or designated parking areas. The taqueria has indoor dining with plenty of tables to dine in. We called in to order and got the enchilada special, small bag of chips and veggie taco. Service is quick and easy through ordering on the website online. They send you text messages with confirmed order, time of pick up and when it's ready. The chips are crisp and good. The taco was really good with a lot of filling! Had to eat some of the filling first before biting into the taco. I liked the soft tortilla for the taco. The enchilada was filled with cheese with nice flavorful enchilada sauce. Tasty combination with the beans, rice and salad. Had to pay a bit extra for rice. Overall, a filling meal that is shareable for 2 people or just have left overs.

It was last year in August that I had a bad experience here at the San Carlos Location. Today I decided (2.25.24) to give them a try and I must say I am very happy about everything. You must patronize this location. It is just good. And the servers are very nice!

So this isn't fine dining or a really cool ambience. But what they get very right is the food. So I ordered a combination of veggie, beans, rice and tortillas. My husband got a chile relleno and enchiladas. We got a side of chips and salsa for free. The chips were not oily, and the salsa was fresh and tasty. Coming to the main dishes. They were pretty solid in size. The rice was super tasty, and nothing was really oily in my plate. The Chile Relleno obviously had a lot of cheese. That looked much more greesy. Don't go here looking for healthy food, but they stand for comfort food. We got the churro to try for dessert, but it was okay. Nothing special, it was missing some chocolate sauce in my opinion. Overall, would definitely try again.

Arrived on Tuesday night. Plenty of open tables and service was fairly quick. We decided to share the following: 1) Steak and shrimp super burrito (wet) - Thought they'd top with the enchilada sauce but this k they used the mole sauce instead. At first I thought it'd be too strong but turned out to be quite good. Only wished the shrimp were bigger. 2) Flautas - can't really complain. They were served hot and crispy. Ordered these as sides. May be a bit pricey at $3/flauta though. 3) Quesabirria - $5.50 each. These weren't my favorite tbh. Kinda on the salty side and, for me, not much flavor other than salty. Other pros - restaurant appears clean, quite a variety of items to choose from, and pretty quick service. Also, got to catch up with friends as no one rushed us.
